There can be no more exhilarating, glamorous, and thrilling environment to host an event in than that of MotoGP™, a sport that generates passion and excitement wherever it goes around the world.

The Sachsenring Circuit is another enclave of such a  great sporting tradition: car and bike races have been held on closed public roads in the area since the 1920s.

The new circuit was built in 1996 and although mainly used at the beginning as a driver training centre and road transport safety station, hosted the first MotoGP™ Grand Prix in 1998.

Numerous tight corners make make it one of the slower tracks on the calendar but there is never any shortage of close racing action.
