If you’re thinking about attending the Monaco Grand Prix, one of the first questions is usually how much to budget. The answer depends on the kind of weekend you have in mind: an afternoon enjoying the atmosphere from a terrace, a day aboard a superyacht, or a complete trip with accommodation and hospitality throughout.

Monaco offers a wide range of experiences, and prices can vary considerably between venues and days. For 2027, there’s another factor to consider: the addition of Monaco’s first Formula 1 Sprint means Saturday now offers both a race and Grand Prix qualifying, making it an even more attractive option for guests looking to get more from their hospitality budget.

Why does Monaco hospitality vary so much in price?

Much of it comes down to location. Unlike a permanent circuit with purpose-built hospitality facilities, Monaco has to fit a Grand Prix around the streets, buildings and harbour of a working town. Some of its best viewing spots are found on private terraces, in apartments and hotels, or aboard yachts in Port Hercule.

These spaces are limited, and each offers a different perspective on the racing. A yacht close to the circuit or an elevated terrace overlooking several corners will naturally command a different price from a venue with a more restricted view.

You’re also paying for the hospitality itself. The food, drinks, service, space and overall atmosphere all contribute to the experience, so two packages with similar views may still offer quite different value.

How much is Monaco yacht hospitality?

As a guide, Red Eye Events’ 50-metre Harbour Club yacht hospitality for the 2027 Monaco Grand Prix starts from £1,190 per person on Friday, with Saturday priced at £2,595 and Sunday race-day hospitality at £4,700 per person. The day you choose makes a significant difference to the price. Sunday remains the premium option, but the new Sprint format gives Friday and Saturday more competitive action to build your visit around.

Does the Monaco Sprint make Saturday better value?

For 2027, Saturday becomes an even fuller day, with the Formula 1 Sprint followed by qualifying for Sunday’s Grand Prix. That means guests can enjoy both competitive racing and the battle for pole from the same hospitality venue.

For anyone weighing up Saturday against Sunday, that gives Saturday a stronger value-for-money case. On our 50-metre Harbour Club yacht, the Saturday price is just over half the Sunday price, while still offering a day of premium hospitality with two major F1 sessions to enjoy.

Sunday will always have the appeal of the Monaco Grand Prix itself. But if your priority is the yacht experience, the atmosphere and plenty of meaningful track action, Saturday deserves serious consideration. Friday is worth a look too, with Sprint qualifying adding a competitive session earlier in the weekend at a lower entry price.

How much does terrace hospitality cost?

Terrace hospitality varies according to the location, the view and what’s included. An elevated venue overlooking several sections of the circuit, such as our Shangri La rooftop,  is a different proposition from a smaller terrace with a view of one corner, such as Harbour Club @ the Ermanno, so the description alone won’t tell you everything you need to know.

Before comparing prices, picture how you’d like to spend the day. Do you want a panoramic view, somewhere comfortable to sit between sessions, or a lively setting for entertaining clients? Then check how each package delivers that experience. It’s worth asking exactly which parts of the circuit you can see, whether seating is guaranteed, what food and drinks are included, and how many guests will share the venue. Access also matters: getting around Monaco during the Grand Prix takes some planning, and clear arrival instructions can make a big difference. A lower price may suit your priorities perfectly, but knowing what’s included makes it much easier to judge the value.

What else should you budget for?

Your hospitality package is one part of the trip, so it helps to consider the full weekend before booking. Accommodation and travel can make a substantial difference to the total, particularly if you want to stay in Monaco itself.

Is it cheaper to stay in Nice?

Generally, yes, and for many of our guests Nice offers a good balance between cost, comfort and convenience. There’s a wider selection of hotels, along with plenty of restaurants and places to spend the evening, so you can make it a base for the whole trip.

You will need to plan your travel into Monaco, allowing for busy services and roads over the weekend. Even so, staying in Nice can leave more of your budget available for the hospitality experience you really want.

If you’d prefer to be surrounded by the Grand Prix atmosphere throughout your stay, Monaco remains the premium choice. Being able to step out of your hotel and enjoy Monte Carlo is part of the appeal, particularly if you’re planning several days of hospitality and evening events.

Choosing the right venue and day is what makes the investment worthwhile. The most expensive package won’t automatically be the best one for you.
