Three F1 City Races to Experience This Autumn: Singapore, Austin & Las Vegas

As Formula 1 heads into Autumn, three races stand out for offering something beyond the action on the circuit.

Singapore, Austin and Las Vegas are very different destinations, but they have one thing in common: each Grand Prix becomes a major event for the entire city.

For anyone considering an autumn Formula 1 trip, they offer the opportunity to combine world-class racing with food, entertainment, nightlife and premium hospitality.

So which one should you choose?

Singapore: Formula 1 under the lights

Few races are as instantly recognisable as the Singapore Grand Prix. Held on the Marina Bay Street Circuit, the race takes place at night against a backdrop of Singapore's illuminated skyline. The 2026 Singapore Grand Prix takes place from 9–11 October and also features a Sprint, adding another competitive session to an already packed weekend.

Singapore has always been about more than simply watching Formula 1. The circuit sits within the city, allowing visitors to combine the Grand Prix with restaurants, bars, shopping and some of Asia's most recognisable attractions. That makes it particularly attractive for corporate groups and guests looking for a complete destination experience rather than a conventional trip to a racing circuit.

Two weeks after Singapore, Formula 1 heads to Texas for the United States Grand Prix at the Circuit of the Americas. Austin has developed a reputation as one of the most enjoyable weekends on the Formula 1 calendar. The circuit provides excellent racing, but much of the attraction lies outside it.

Austin is one of America's great live music cities, with an established food, bar and entertainment scene that fits naturally with Formula 1's increasingly entertainment-led US events. That combination creates a relaxed Grand Prix atmosphere that feels very different from Singapore or Monaco.

Las Vegas: Formula 1 on the Strip

If Austin mixes racing with entertainment, Las Vegas takes the idea even further. The Las Vegas Grand Prix brings Formula 1 directly onto one of the most famous streets in the world. Cars race along the Las Vegas Strip at night, surrounded by illuminated hotels, casinos and entertainment venues.

The 2026 event takes place from 19–21 November, with the Grand Prix itself taking place on Saturday night. It is difficult to imagine a setting more suited to modern Formula 1.
