The 2023 Formula One season kicked off in Bahrain last weekend, with Max Verstappen and the Red Bull team continuing their on-track dominance at the Sakhir circuit. The story of the weekend however, was the superb drive by the F1 veteran Fernando Alonso, claiming a well-deserved podium in the Aston Martin.

So will the Spaniard and the Silverstone based team, funded by billionaire owner Lawrence Stroll, continue to upset the established teams this season, or will the likes of Mercedes and Ferrari improve to compete with Red Bull?

These answers will unfold over the next few months as F1 continues with its busiest ever season – visiting a staggering 23 circuits in total this year. But what is the best Grand Prix to visit in 2023? Where is the best place to experience the drama and excitement of Formula One? With 18 years of experience in travelling the globe and watching F1, you’ll be pleased to know that we’ve done the work for you and come up with the top 5 Grand Prix Destinations in 2023. So here they are…

The Monaco Grand Prix, Monte-Carlo

Monaco, as a Grand Prix destination is a no brainer, and one that every F1 fan should experience at least once in their lives. The harbour, the weather, the parties – nowhere throws a Grand Prix party like Monaco. Sure, the tight street circuit doesn’t always allow for the most exciting race, but the race itself is always secondary in Monte-Carlo.

As Monaco experts, Red Eye have been providing hospitality packages in the principality since 2005. So, whether you are sipping Champagne whilst overlooking the circuit from one of our terraces, or partying on a yacht with England rugby star James Haskell and Michelin star chef Tom Kerridge, just make sure you’re there on the 28th May! For the best Monaco Grand Prix hospitality and accommodation packages please contact a member of the team today.

The British Grand Prix, Silverstone

As the home of motorsport, Silverstone still has a charm and sense of tradition that sets it apart from many of the more modern and less established circuits. Also, as one of the fastest races on the circuit the British Grand Prix is rarely without any excitement or drama – just ask Guanyu Zhou after his huge crash on the first lap in 2022.

Red Eye have been running hospitality at the British Grand Prix since 2011 and venues such as the Ignition Club and the Fusion Lounge provide guests with fantastic trackside views, high-end cuisine, an open champagne bar and entertainment throughout the weekend. Please contact us for more details.

The Dutch Grand Prix, Zandvoort

Last year was our first trip to the Dutch GP following its reintroduction to the calendar in 2020, and a covid affected 2021. It’s safe to say that we weren’t disappointed, and the Dutch Grand Prix is easily in our top 5 races for 2023. You can read more about our experience here, but the main highlight was the unique atmosphere created by the brilliant local fans who make up the ‘orange army’. This was different to anything we’ve experienced before and not even the Tifosi at the Italian Grand Prix would come close.

The hospitality was also superb, with access to the nearby beach club for pre & post-race entertainment helping guests make the most of their Dutch GP experience. For more details on the beach club, as well as other available hospitality packages such as Paddock Club, please contact either Will or George in the office, and they’d be happy to help.

The Las Vegas Grand Prix

F1 in Vegas is possibly the most heavily anticipated race we’ve known. A Grand Prix on the Las Vegas Strip is potentially a match made in heaven and we can’t wait to be there. The city of sin has seen Formula One before of course, with a disastrous attempt to host a race in Caesars Palace car park in the early 80s. We’re fairly confident though that the race in November will live up to expectations and become a regular highlight on the calendar.

We have some excellent Las Vegas Grand Prix hospitality options available so make sure you do whatever you can to be there. We promise you won’t regret it!

The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix

Abu Dhabi has been a favourite Grand Prix destination for us at Red Eye for over a decade now. Let’s face it – there’s nothing nicer than escaping the bleak midwinter in the UK for some winter sun in the UAE just before Christmas. The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix is now established as the F1 season finale, and with that comes the excitement of the racing, as well as of course the parties. Ok, maybe the title race doesn’t always live up to the drama of 2021, or 2016’s battle between Rosberg & Hamilton, but there’s always something to play for – even if it’s the midfield battle or the constructor’s championship.

What is always guaranteed though is that Abu Dhabi always provides a great guest experience for the travelling F1 fan. Our Harbour Club hospitality package, based at the superb W Hotel gives you the chance to experience the weekend in complete luxury – a perfect way to see out the year! Please contact us for more details.

So there we have it – our top 5 Grand Prix destinations for 2023. There were notable others that didn’t make it – Miami was close, and Singapore is always a good weekend, but we think we’ve nailed it. Let us know if you disagree!
