The Return of Guest Hospitality at The British Grand Prix

13 Jul Silverstone F1 Hospitality Guests

This weekend marks the return of spectators to the Formula 1 ® British Grand Prix after last season’s Silverstone double-header was held behind closed doors.

With the Northamptonshire circuit set to host the next chapter in a thrilling title fight between current points leader Max Verstappen (Red Bull) and Mercedes’ Sir Lewis Hamilton – plus the debut of a new format – there’s plenty to digest, plus all the details on how you can join us in the thick of the action this weekend!

Hamilton looks to strike back on home soil

There’s no doubting Verstappen arrives in the UK with momentum on his side, a dominant double at the Red Bull Ring making it three wins on the spin for the Dutch star, as well as pole position on all three occasions.

As a result, Verstappen’s margin over Hamilton currently stands at 32 points, with the Brit in unfamiliar territory as the hunter, rather than the hunted.

Hamilton has history on his side, however; aside from a solitary victory for Sebastian Vettel (then at Ferrari) and Verstappen in 2018 and ’20 respectively, the 36-year-old has never been bested around the 3.6-mile GP circuit since the start of the turbo-hybrid era in ’14.

A repeat success this weekend will be vital if the seven-time world champion is to keep Verstappen and, armed with a fresh two-year deal to remain at the Silver Arrows, turn the tide in the championship battle.

What is set to be a capacity home crowd will also lend their support to fan favourite Lando Norris, the McLaren ace looking to break back into the top three after another podium last time out in the Styrian Mountains.

Just three points separate Norris from the sister Red Bull machine of Sergio Perez in the standings, whilst George Russell’s recent qualifying heroics will fuel optimism that home soil may be exactly what the Williams driver needs to score his first points of the season.
